President- Lavanya Verma (she/her)
Given my love for visual arts, I knew I’d find home in the Society for Visual Cultures from the get-go. Today, under my presidency, I work towards extending this feeling to others. I’m grateful that SVC as a space has been appreciative of my work ethic of ‘giving my everything in everything that I do’ and trusted me to be its president in just about six months in as a member. People here are a good-time vitamin, and I hope to build SVC into a continuous and self-sustaining pool of talent.
Vice President - Anandini Sehgal (she/her)
I’m part of this society because it simply gives me a creative liberty to explore my growing photography skills and a place to share my passion for writing. I wish to grow and learn every day, with my team. Learning with each member and providing them a safe space is a little mission for myself. I hope to make SVC the coolest, safest and not-so-chaotic society.
Head of Content Creation - Chhavi (she/her)
Being part of SVC is like having the coolest job ever! It's a blend of my love for visuals and the thrill of storytelling. Whether it's capturing that perfect cat on the road shot or curating content that makes others fall in love with photography, I’m all about making our society’s work shine. Being part of the cabinet means I get to collaborate with some amazingly talented people, and my mission is to not just showcase beautiful moments but to inspire others to see the world differently through their lens. Here’s to slaying together! <3
Head of Public Relations - Aanushka Negi (she/her)
I chose to join the society because it looked like the members were a work-family of sorts and I'm part of the cabinet because honestly if you need to know about anything or want something I probably have it (between my tote bag and ADHD I will always try to help you). I might be 45 minutes away (karampura campus iykyk) but I still always show up. I hope I can continue making SVC feel like home just as much as it did for me.
