Where do you anchor your identity when you're pulled in so many directions that you lose yourself?
“You have so much potential, you’re so smart and capable!” And now he’s the Jack of all, Master of none. Each achievement, each accolade is now a heavy stone, weighing down on him until he feels like he’s six feet under, crucifix stabbing the pitiful mound. It’s befitting, isn’t it? When you fail to recognize and build an identity of your own, you drift from memory to memory, more of a ghost in the non-linearity of time than a human.
Confronted by questions that feel greater than his being, Ashutosh finds himself grappling with questions about where he stands and how to come to terms with the insurmountable expectations that he and those around him have placed on him since he could remember. He's never really alone when he's by himself, never feels more lonely than he does when he's with people.
